About Us

Honestly? This whole site started because I got fed up.

A couple of years ago I needed to send a scanned rental contract to a landlord. Three pages, photographed on my phone, sitting in my gallery as separate JPGs. Simple, right? Except the first website I tried made me create an account. The second one slapped a watermark across every page. The third uploaded my documents to who-knows-which server, asked me to “wait in the queue,” and then tried to sell me a subscription. For turning three photos into one PDF. That afternoon I closed my laptop and thought: this shouldn’t be hard, and it shouldn’t cost my privacy.

So I built the tool I actually wanted. Then I built another one. And another. This site is what those evenings turned into — a growing collection of small, fast, genuinely free utilities for the everyday jobs we all run into: converting an image, squeezing a PDF down to size, trimming an audio clip, counting words, generating a password you won’t have to think about again.

How it works (and why that matters)

Here’s the part I’m proudest of. Almost every tool on this site runs entirely inside your own browser. When you convert a file or compress an image, the work happens on your device — your files never get uploaded to a server, never get stored, and never get seen by me or anyone else. Close the tab and they’re gone, the way it should be.

That’s not a marketing line; it’s a deliberate choice. I didn’t want to be one more website quietly hoarding people’s documents. Building everything client-side means the tools are quicker (nothing has to travel across the internet and back), they work without an account, and your private stuff stays private by default. Your tax form, your ID scan, that slightly embarrassing voice memo — none of it leaves your computer.

Who this is for

Pretty much everyone, which is the point. Students fixing the formatting on an assignment at 1 a.m. Freelancers turning invoices into clean PDFs. Designers grabbing a colour off a logo. Developers who just need to format some JSON without opening a heavy editor. Parents scanning school forms. If you’ve ever thought “there should be a quick tool for this,” there probably is one here — and if there isn’t yet, tell me and I’ll look into building it.

Keeping it free

I’ll be upfront with you: this site is paid for by advertising. Servers, domains and the time to keep adding new tools all cost something, and ads are what let me keep every single tool free, with no sign-ups and no watermarks. I try hard to keep the ads out of your way and the tools front and centre. If something ever feels intrusive, I genuinely want to hear about it.

Say hello

This is a project I care about, and feedback shapes it more than anything else. Found a bug? Wish a certain tool existed? Think a page could be clearer? Drop me a line on the contact page. I read everything, and a surprising number of the tools here exist because someone asked.

Thanks for stopping by — I hope it saves you a bit of time today.
